That was the Olympic torch, that was.

It was a case of blink and you'll miss it. This was the scene in either Truro in Cornwall or Modbury in Devon (the Daily Mail seemed unsure).
The torch bearer is followed by a group of fourteen, yes FOURTEEN, support vehicles smothered in sponsor logos.

Tacky or what?

And all this expense and fuss is just so that the runners can flog their torches on ebay. They are rumoured to be asking for £100,000 for them. Well maybe if there were only one. But there's hundreds of the tatty things! Some being offered for sale even before they have been run.

I don't blame them for trying to sell them but it definitely degrades the spirit of the relay.

I am considerably depressed about the whole Olympic games con trick and it makes me even more sad that there are so many people (see pic above) being taken in by it.

There's just no hope for us.
