Yet another eyesore for London

And wouldn't you know it; the new monstrosity is a product of a Turner prize winning "artist." Anish Kapoor compares it, in his own deluded mind, to the Eiffel Tower while engineer Cecil Balmond, who "designed" the structure describes it as a "curve in space."

Bollocks!

It looks like collapsing scaffolding around a condemned helter skelter.

In fact, the Orbit Tower which stands beside the Olympic stadium in Stratford, is just another piece of the crappy legacy which is going to feature on the debit side of London's balance sheet for many years to come.

But what interests me is, in a time when people have trouble getting planning permission for a flagpole or a small extension to their living quarters, what kind of mindless morons gave planning consent for it?

No doubt a fat bribe was involved
