The Tamara Ecclestone sex tape continues to interest me

My attention was caught originally because of the Mail Online's refusal to put into words the obvious conclusion that the encounter featured in Tamara's ex boyfriend's sex tape had been a homosexual one. And this despite Tamara's own heavy hints in that direction.

I wondered what the Mail Online was afraid of; it had already published facts about Omar Kyami's criminal past so revelations that he might be gay would not be a vast leap in terms of libel risk. Especially as Arabs, as a race, quite frequently bat for both sides.

But now whenever the Mail puts up an item about Tamara, which it does almost every day, it closes the comments section with the meagre explanation: "Sorry we are unable to accept comments for legal reasons."

I would love to know the exact nature of those "legal reasons." Most of the comments on Tamara herself are negative and based on the very privileged lifestyle handed to her by Formula One mogul Bernie. But I cannot imagine that comments would be banned because of that. It would be more appropriate just to stop publishing the articles in the first place if there were any kind of legal threat.

Personally I quite like Tamara. She is considerably better looking than her mother who resembled a badly photographed horse in many ways. And she does a lot of work for Great Ormond St Hospital. Although I can't help feeling that she could do just as much by writing out a few cheques, at least her intentions are good.
