More tax bullshit:

Two pence could be knocked off income tax for everyone if the state clamped down on ‘morally repugnant’ tax avoidance, a minister said today.

The weasel word there is "could" because even if they closed all the loopholes and evaders all paid up, we, the tax payer, would never see the slightest benefit.
But what I'd really like to know is; how much would we save on our tax bills if there were no London Olympics. And I'm not just talking about the initial expense but also in the years to come.
Are we ever likely to be told? No, of course not.
