The road to nowhere OR how to fund the Olympic games with traffic fines

This is Southampton Row in London and I'm rather puzzled about where the ordinary traffic is supposed to go driving from right to left.
The fine for misuse of these bus and Olympic Lanes is £130 and just another example of how ordinary poll tax paying Londoners are being sidelined and abused in favour of the privileged few.
I can't help wondering if these fines are being levied in an attempt to recoup a little of the gigantic costs of the ever more farcical games.
Surely it would have been far simpler, and cheaper, to redesignate the existing bus lanes to include Olympic traffic as well. After all it's not as if you ever see a bus in them.
