I don't know what's going on in the head of Lewis Hamilton

Even before the massive pile up at the start of the Belgian GP, his head was obviously all over the place. Yesterday he made a couple of strange tweets with abbreviated bad language indicating he was not happy with the way his car had been prepared relative to that of his team mate Jenson Button. Then today, on the morning of the race he tweeted a pic of the telemetry showing the disparity between the two cars during qualifying. This showed technical information of interest to rival teams.

I think it all shows the growing disenchantment Lewis is feeling as far as McLaren is concerned. And it may very well be mutual.

Although contractual negotiations regarding next year have supposedly reached a final details stage, I still think that McLaren would like to escape from the reported £15 million deal.

Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes are all said to have rebuffed approaches by Hamilton's management team. However in an unusual slip during a pre-race interview with the BBC, Bernie Ecclestone suggested that Michael Schumacher may be leaving Mercedes at the end of this season and retiring permanently. It's a matter of the timing. Was Schumi's decision reached before or after Mercedes' rejection of Hamilton as a driver?
