I may be losing interest in Strictly Come Dancing. It's done for the audience ratings of course but I think week 3 is too early to feature a theme night.
I've never had the slightest interest in Mary Poppins and I'm not at all sure what Toy Story is - nor am I any clearer after Denise van Outen's performance except that it might be something to do with puppets.
Even Ola's appearance in a lacey catsuit could not rescue Sid Owen's stompy Tango and a man who has lost interest in Ola in a catsuit is in a poor state of health altogether. It seems that Ola's mother is ill and she's off to Poland next week to be with her. The almost incomprehensible Iveta will be standing in
Prize for the hottest outfit must go to Kristina who performed an Argentine tango with Colin Salmon to a Bond theme. Kristina aside, I must say that I found it a bit tame.
Puzzle of the night was Michael Vaughan's rendition of the Full Monty. Could somebody please explain to me what that film has to do with Hollywood. I always thought that it was a particularly and completely British production.
Felt quite sick that Lisa Riley danced to Madonna's Hanky Spanky. I've always thought that it was Madge's sexiest song and now every time I hear it I'll think of Lisa Riley. Fifty Shades Of Disappointment.
Not quite sure who gets eliminated this week but I suspect it may be Jerry Hall and that the dance off will have been between her and Sid Owen.
Current betting
Louis Smith: Continues to lead the market
Best price still 2/1 Ladbrokes.
Denise van Outen: Still 2nd favourite
3/1 in a place (You Win)
Kimberley Walsh: The bland leading the even blander as far as I'm concerned.
4/1 generally.
Lisa Riley: Now as short as 6/1 although 7/1 can still be found.
Victoria Pendleton: Steadily dropping out to rag status. I'm getting tired of typing her name anyway. Best price now 20/1 Coral.
Sid Owen: I'm getting worried about my dark horse bet. With Ola out for some time, he's got little to recommend him. 28/1 now available with William Hill.
