Tamara Ecclestone starting to pay the price for marrying a crooked drug dealer

You may wonder why I write about Tamara who leads a life so far removed from my own that we might be on different planets. She comes into my sphere of interest largely because of her father, Formula One supremo, Bernie. The opulence of their joint lifestyles is the main reason for my not being able to watch a complete Grand Prix season live on television. Not to mention the chronic ineptitude of the BBC of course.

So, although I feel slightly sorry when either of them come a bit of a cropper - Bernie Ecclestone is currently facing charges of fraud in Germany - I cannot help a certain measure of schadenfreude.

Now it seems that Tamara's new husband, Jay Rutland, is showing the tell tale signs of his criminal nature barely a month after their lavish wedding and several honeymoons in exotic hotspots.
According to the Mail Online Rutland was driving away from a friend's house in Wanstead East London when he noticed that his customised Range Rover was low on fuel. He called into a petrol station for a top up after which he allegedly walked to some bushes to relieve himself. Why he did not simply ask to use the toilets on the premises is a matter which may become clear later. In any case, according to his version of events, while he was returning to his car he was further relieved of his £50,000 Rolex watch and a £20,000 gold bracelet by a couple of knife wielding, hoodie wearing johnnies of a type fairly prevalent in that neck of the woods. Not being content with merely robbing the luckless Rutland they seemingly beat him up as well as if to give further credance to the tale.

The Mail Online have of course turned off comments on the article 'for legal reasons.' An inhibition which holds no fear for someone like me whose life is already scraping along the bottom of the barrel. So I will brazenly state that I believe Rutland's story to be a complete fabrication in order to defraud an insurance company or some other similar scam.
My reasons are as follows:
1) He must be running short of ready cash even if Tamara has been paying for all the nuptuals herself. It's not easy being a drug dealer while in the media spotlight.
2) Why did he not use the toilets on the petrol forecourt? A couple of quid to the cashier would have made the staff facilities available to him in the absence of public amenities.
3) Why did his muggers not steal the car? Beause he needed it to get home of course.

Apparently a 21 yr old man has been arrested but I have no doubt he will later be released due to lack of evidence.
