Why does the press call this colour "nude"? It's got nothing to do with nude and gets perverts like me all excited for nothing. I don't see what was wrong with calling it "flesh" or even "flesh-coloured"
On the right is what the Mail Online describes as a "plunging nude pantsuit" on somebody called Mollie King. No, I've never heard of her either! But so far as I can see it's neither plunging nor nude and I'm not even sure that it can really be called a pantsuit. Surely suits have jackets and not just some kind of wrap round shirt?
What gets my goat is when the press refers to flesh coloured shoes as "nude heels" What a bloody stupid term! A person's heels are naturally nude having been born that way. You can cover them with hosiery or shoes but they are still nude underneath and nude skin on a human is flesh coloured.
