Is this the voice of Olympic desperation

Knowing that London's transport system is bound to collapse under the weight of the Olympic games traffic:
Transport bosses have urged commuters to try everything from rock climbing to rollerblading after work to avoid rush-hour traffic during the Olympics.
In a move which shows little faith in Britain’s transport system, organisers have told workers to take up new hobbies in the evening to avoid the queues and delays at peak times.

I don't know why they didn't suggest that commuters use rollerskates and rollerblades to get to and from work.
It would be economical, efficient and about as green as can be.
