Do you believe the police or the appalling Andrew Mitchell MP

Of course we know who David Cameron believes because they are both toffees out of exactly the same bag. But, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, can you seriously imagine a copper inventing a verbal that would include the word pleb. It's the kind of word used by prep school boys during their first year of classics when referring to those less gifted and less fortunate than themselves. Not the kind of word that would be thought of by a down-to-earth bobby while licking his pencil and making a note of the verbals.

If you or me had sworn at a policeman on duty we would find ourselves under arrest and taken down to the nick facing a charge under section 5 of the Public Order Act and a fine not exceeding £1000.

But then we are not members of Cameron's club of toffs otherwise known as the Tory party, are we?.

Apparently Mitchell's long and frustrating day included lunch at the Cinnamon Club, where some dishes cost £95.00 per person.

I think he should seriously consider getting back on his bike and finding another job.
