The naked Kate - an entirely predictable scandal

In response to the threat of publication of the latest naked royal photographs, Buckingham Palace aides have released a statement including the words:
Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them.

But that's the trouble - it is completely thinkable.
There have been long lenses around for donkey's years and there have been sleazy people to take the photographs and publish them for just as long.
And on top of that there have been the recent pics of Prince Harry to think of as an example of what can happen.

You can't blame the magazines, abysmal as they are, or even the photographers any more than you can blame lions for making a meal of an occasional tourist in Africa. It's just the nature of the beast. But with a modest amount of thought you can take precautions against the readily thinkable.

Didn't it cross Kate's mind as she slipped off her bikini top that there might be a photographer out there somewhere? And she will be queen one day! God help us!
