The dreadful standard of reporting that is all too common these days

This is typical of the Mail Online. Sarah Brightman, described as an opera singer who found fame in the Phantom Of The Opera, is allegedly paying in excess of $51 million of her reported $49 million fortune for 10 days in space.

Just a few points here.
1) Sarah Brightman is not an opera singer.
2) The Phantom Of The Opera is a musical NOT an opera.
3) Nobody in their right mind is going to bankrupt themselves for the sake of a space jolly.

Much as I'd love to go in to space and happily pay millions of pounds to do it, if I had it, I certainly would not give away my entire accumulated wealth in the process.

So after removing those three elements in the story, what are we left with? Bugger all. Will the Mail Online print a retraction? Not likely.
