Strictly Come Dancing becoming strictly tasteless and vulgar?

This is Lacey Schwimmer about whom I know little except that the BBC has hired her to choreograph some of the professional's routines on this year's Strictly Come Dancing. This does not bode well because her last employment was as a dancer on Dancing With The Stars, an American talent show which bears no sensible comparison to Strictly.

Just looking at Lacey makes me feel slightly ill as she has the same horrible horsey features as the actress Sarah Jessica Parker. Other ominous signs are in her list of surgical enhancements - nose, lips and, the almost obligatory, bust.

I don't understand why the BBC wants to go down the flashy and trashy route when Strictly's enormous fan base is firmly rooted in the homegrown talents of the lovely Karen Hardy.
