Why does the Mail Online have to publish these dreadful duck-face Facebook profile pics

It doesn't seem to matter what sort of crime has been committed by these narcissistic women the Mail has to publish their duck faces. Personally I'd rather see a police identity picture of them up against a plain wall with a height ruler.
The woman in my pic, Mandy Leacock, has been convicted of the particularly nasty crime of keeping a woman with learning difficulties as a slave over a period of 14 years. She also treated her to a variety of tortures including making her sit in a bath while pouring bleach over her and beating her with a frying pan.
So why does the Mail publish pics like this? Are they trying to get dates for this abysmal excuse for a human being.
I'd also like to know why they are not taking comments on the article. Leacock has been convicted and awaits sentence, so it cannot be a matter of prejudicing a jury. Maybe it's more that the scurrilous Mail Online is afraid of attracting comments that are unfavourable to itself (as if!!!!)

Well known grammatical error arrested for drink driving

I had to stifle a snigger when I saw that Professor Green (commonly and mistakenly) known as 'Pro' Green was arrested for drunk driving outside his home early last Sunday morning. It seems that the 'rapper' who rails against social injustice and poverty in his so-called songs, had his Rolex half inched in an incident after he arrived home in his Mercedes SLS.
No it's no good I can't stifle the sniggers any longer - heheheheheheh!

Maybe now people will stop automatically blaming the police when a criminal dies while being arrested.

At last there has been a criminal dying as a result of being detained by members of the public.

Alan Levers walked into a betting shop in Plymouth brandishing an imitation firearm and demanded money from the cashier. No doubt fearing that any theft would prevent winnings being paid out, a group of punters wrestled him to the ground and detained him until police arrived. However he became unconscious while waiting and was declared dead shortly afterwards.

I had to chuckle when I saw in the press report that his nephew Peter Levers, 28, described the gunman as a 'generous' man who would give you his last 50p if he had it.

Considering his uncle's apparent criminal record there would seem to be some question as to whose 50p he would actually be giving away. Some poor fellow whom he had just robbed at gunpoint, no doubt.

Lenient sentence for 'honour crime' brings dishonour on judge and jury

Shamina Akhtar was subjected to a sickening assault by her brother and two sisters for kissing a white boy on her birthday. She was beaten and her hair hacked off and was told to choose between a hammer and a knife to be used on her and her boyfriend.

Fortunately the police were called and the trio of thugs arrested. However that is where any hope of justice for Shamina ended because her siblings were only convicted for actual bodily harm.

Appallingly, the judge had informed the jury that the crime centred on ‘honour-based domestic violence' as if that was some kind of mitigation. The jury took three weeks to deliver its verdict rejecting the charges of false imprisonment, but finding the two sisters guilty of actual bodily harm and her brother guilty of assault.

Judge Guy Boney gave them each a conditional discharge and a fine instead of the prison sentence which would have been the usual result in a racially based crime.

Consequently poor Shamina must live her life constantly looking over her shoulder, in perpetual fear of her family taking reprisals against herself and her boyfriend.

Both judge and jury should be utterly ashamed of themselves for bringing the justice system and this country into such further disrepute.

Scotland Yard poised to bring new charge in PC Blakelock murder case

The new suspect is a man who was under 18 at the time of the crime so even if he is convicted he will not face an appropriate punishment.

I've said it before but I really feel that after a certain time has elapsed a criminal (particularly a musrderer) should be punished as an adult regardless of his age at the time. After all he has had years of freedom in which to confess and hasn't done so. Years of freedom which he might not have had if he had been caught and prosecuted at the time.

I would like justice for Keith Blakelock' savage murder but I don't believe the shorter sentence that a young offender would have recieved is really justice at all.
