The UK border Agency poses more of a threat than Abu Qatada
I find this statistic more far more worrying than the prospect of keeping Abu Qatada in this country forever. It seems that of the 21,298 illegals discovered in the UK last year only 6,232 were returned in the same year - which means the others still have not been returned. Most of these were from Pakistan with the rest mainly from Iran, India and Afghanistan.
Considering that these are only the ones who were caught (some sources say this may only represent 10% of the true figure.) You can see what the scale of the actual terrorist threat may be posed by the inefficiencies of the UK Border Agency and our continued subservience to the Convention on Human Rights.
