The remarkable Flavia Cacace rescued Louis Smith's somewhat unconnected performances on Saturday night by employing an acting coach during the week to help him inject bring some personality into his dancing.
I'm still not sufficiently convinced to stop calling him "Limp Louis" however but I think that there might be enough there now for him to give my bet a fighting chance once more. Especially now that I have discovered that he has a gay following, something that is always significant when telephone voting is involved.
At lunchtime today the best available about him was 11/10 with odds on in a place.
Denise van Outen
She (or rather James) messed up a little on Saturday. Still a fun Salsa though!
9/4 with Ladbrokes
Dani Harmer
Sweet Viennese Waltz.
9/1 still available
Kimberley Walsh
Fast and enjoyable jive but a couple of mistakes with her feet which even I noticed.
12/1 generally
Lisa Riley
Hated her quickstep to Bring Me Sunshine. Spoiled my memories of Morecambe and Wise.
16/1 generally.
Nicky Byrne
I'm really bored with his boy band stompiness. But Karen's sexy outfit brightened my mood considerably.
50/1 generally.
My relief at the new life in my bet has been diminished somewhat by the elimination of Michael Vaughan.
I would have appreciated it had he stayed in longer in spite of his continued inability to pronounce the 'T' in Natalie or any other word during his interviews on It Takes Two. And one look at Natalie (left) should explain why.
I commented on Twitter last week that she should keep that smokey eye make-up and she has appeared with it again, almost as if she reads my tweets. And I'm not even saying anything about her totally unforgettable legs.
