Who cares if George Galloway is a Muslim or not? But he ought not to be an MP

No matter what kind of an ass a chap may be, he is entitled to whatever religious beliefs he chooses. But this is what worries me and makes me think that he ought to be sacked as an MP and maybe slung in the tower.

When he was sworn in as an MP, he chose to affirm rather than swear on the bible. When asked why, this was his answer

'The answer is: I had to take an oath of allegiance in which I don't believe, to the Queen and all her heirs and successors, and I have no allegiance to any of them, and I could not possibly swear such a thing on a holy book.

So his oath was a lie and meant nothing by his own admission. How can he remain in his seat under those circumstances?
