Lisa Riley's fall from grace in Strictly semi finals

Lisa Riley's dance disaster
There has to be a point where entertainment value comes second to dancing ability and, although I think the time is actually well before the semi finals, Lisa Riley definitely reached it last night with a dance disaster.

She had a funny landing from some sort of a floor glide move in her Salsa routine and her partner, Robin Windsor, failed to lift her to her feet.

It was funny, but in a very cringey way. From what I've seen on twitter and in the press, I'm probably the only person in the entire world who hasn't enjoyed her performances one single iota.

I like a good storytelling dance - one that captures the emotion. And none of Lisa Riley's gambolling about the floor, with her mouth doing an impression of the Simplon Tunnel, have done that for me. I'm sorry she stayed so long as there have been a couple of other celebs who might have progressed if they had not lost the viewers votes in her favour.

Well she's gone now and there's no point in regretting the past when we've got the finals to regret next week.

Louis Smith
I really cannot understand why Limp Louis retains favouritism. I suppose it's the female vote - strange considering his somewhat querulous masculinity.
I though I saw some timing issues in his Jive and his long arms seemed to be flailing about in an uncontrolled way.
Best price now 4/5 if you're foolish enough.

Kimberley Walsh
Nimble Kimble has achieved second place in the betting and not before time. Both her American Smooth and her Charlston had temperatures rising. Her musicality was excellent - as it should be I suppose. She has had a bumpy ride in the betting market but after last night the 5/2 at Ladbrokes and Coral looks generous.

Denise van Outen
Unlike everbody else I thought she was considerably overmarked for the Tango and I'm now worried about the wager I took on her as a saver against Limp Louis losing. It seems the betting market agrees as 8/1 is now generally available about her.

Dani Harmer
I though her American Smooth was utterly charming but she lost me again with her Argentine Tango. You can still get 8/1 (oddly the same as for Denise) for Dani which I think is mean. She doesn't really have a shot.

I think my betting has been a disaaaaaster this year and if I can scramble a few quid together I might invest in a saver on my saver. It's really the height of foolishness but the 5/2 about Kimberley looks like a bookie's rick to me and it might be even more foolish not to take advantage.
