Not just because of her recent error of judgement concerning the Tory peer but because it typifies her selfish and persistent self-aggrandising, anything for publicity attitude.
In a strange way I can appreciate her desire not to be streotyped by her husband's job and if she were a vicar's wife I might be more understanding. But The Speaker of the House of Commons is a serious job which requires and deserves a bit of respect.
Admittedly he doesn't do the job very well and, indeed, shows it little respect either. But that is not the point.
Sally Bercow's behaviour with the appalling and illiterate piece of dross Paddy Docherty, during and after her shameful appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, should really have dragged her and her husband out of the public arena and into the pit of obscurity. Which is where they both belong and perhaps now they will get their overdue reward.
